Dental decay prevalence in the primary dentition continues to maintain high levels in the infant population, despite the efforts and advances that have been made in the field of oral health prevention programs [1]. This situation increases the possibilities of pulp involvement due to the presence of deep caries, leading pulp to an irreversible state, implying the need to perform a pulp treatment [2,3].
